Phosphate Control binds and absorbs phosphates from the pond water, thereby reducing the food source for algae. A low-phosphate environment contributes to clear and healthy pond water. This product is a completely mineral mix and can be used without reservation in natural ponds and surface water.
Dosage & Application
Phosphate Control binds approximately 50–100 grams of phosphate per kg. To determine the correct dosage, it is advisable to measure the phosphate concentration in the pond water.
Recommended dosage:
- swimming and natural ponds: 400 g per 10 m³
- Koi ponds: 2 kg per 10 m³
Instructions for optimal use:
- before use, rinse thoroughly
- fill the mesh bag with the desired amount and place it in a location with good circulation/aeration
- when the product is saturated, it should be replaced
- during first use, saturation may occur faster due to accumulated phosphates in the pond
- the used product can be disposed of with household waste
