Super Air
In addition to 8 standard sets with different dimensions, the SuperAir can be put together according to your wishes.
Air-Aqua offers separate components so they can be combined as desired. The holders for the aerator hose are equipped with small Allen screws, allowing them to be fixed to the bars in no time at all.
This makes it easy to make a ring or rod aerator with 4 different dimensions (30 cm, 60 cm, 90 cm, 120 cm) and 3 diameters of aerator hose (16 mm, 25 mm and 28 mm).
Another option is to put an aerator rod in the aerator hose (as a weight). Short weight pieces of 10 cm are available to make a ring (or other shape). The advantage of doing this is that fewer parts are required and no stainless steel is visible on the outside. The disadvantage is that this increases the resistance for the air pump because the internal diameter of the aerator hose is reduced i.e. for the ø25 x 16 the opening is reduced by approx. 40%, and for the ø28 x20 the opening is reduced by approx. 25%.
We therefore recommend working with the 28 x 20 aerator hose in this configuration.
In addition, many other configurations are possible, such as a multiple air rod, with 3, 4 or 5 rods linked together. Or, for example, with an aerator ring of 90 cm, a second ring at 60 cm can easily be made. Or you can use the various PVC coupling pieces to make a cross from the aerator hose to the center of the ring aerator. This makes it easy to create extra aeration capacity.
The 8 standard models are as follows:
- ring/rod 30 cm with ø16 x 10 mm aerator hose
- ring/rod 60 cm with ø25 x 16 mm aerator hose
- ring/rod 90 cm with ø28 x 20 mm aerator hose
